Dave: Everyone wants to talk about how great they are in SEO, so why don't you tell me about your biggest failure in SEO.
Michael: Years ago I linked up with a group of so called "SEO" guys in India who put in a highly attractive bid for all of our 250 ecommerce websites. At the time I didn't know much about SEO so they flew in (we met them) and signed a deal with their company and spent over $300,000 expanding their office in New Delhi . . . only to find out months later that they were robbing us blind. So I set out to learn SEO myself and vowed to never repeat such a huge business blunder. Thus I entered into the realm of search engine optimization.
Dave: Wow that really sucks! Since you were primarily an eCommerce guy, how long did it take you to learn the art of SEO?
Michael: For me, it happened really fast once I applied myself. I realized how easy SEO really is - More than anything it's just a LOT of hard work. I mean it's On-Site – Content – Backlinks.
Dave: That is true; I find that most people fail simply because they don't take action with their SEO campaigns. I take it this is where you saw an opportunity?
Michael: Exactly, most internet marketers are focused on doing high levels of analysis and just don't have the time to do the grunt work of building Link wheels or Link Pyramids etc. So we decided that instead of focusing on becoming a managed SEO agency, we would focus on servicing the DIY SEO clients who knew exactly what they wanted, but just didn't have the time to either coordinate it all or get it all done.

Dave: Ok, that last part sounded like a corporate BS answer. What really sets you guys apart from all of the other service providers spread across the various BH and IM forums?

However, we already deal with over 200 vendors directly and we have taken the initial beating of finding out who is a scammer and who is not. Plus since we buy in bulk we can be competitive with many offshore providers.
Second, each and every service that we provide is manually done. We don't use software's like SE Nuke, XRumer, or Scrape Box – so I personally feel that the quality is infinitely better than what others are providing.
Third, we will give you a report with each and every one of our services – you will never have to ask yourself "Did the work get done?" – Because we will prove it was done every time.
Fourth, you can get all of your SEO link building under 1 roof – there is a HUGE convenience factor here that will save you tons of time. We have a pretty slick client management area where all customer reports are loaded and stored. So if you forget what activity you did for a particular domain you can simply login and check.
Dave: It certainly does sound appealing when you put it like that! I know in times past when I built backlinks to my money sites I ran into my fair share of guys who thought they knew what they were doing… Since I am going to email this interview out – is there anything else you think my readers would like to know before we wrap it up?

LinkWheel Interview

I'm excited! Today we are going to interview Robert Sheinbein of LinkWheel.net to get some valuable information on SEO and linkwheels.

"Hi Rob for my readers who don't know you can you tell us a little about yourself and your experience in web marketing?"
Hi Diamond Dave,
I operate many websites that deal with various aspects of the internet. Some of my best-known sites are www.Oilchange.com (which is a premium website design company), www.EkOnline.com, and SEO services like www.LinkWheel.net and MadContent.com. We're based out of Toronto Canada. We have been in the creative side of the internet for quite a while now, and clients have always asked us if we can also help optimize their websites. That is how we got into SEO, and both our SEO sites are leaders in their own niches.
"SEO is constantly changing. What piece of advice can you offer our readers?"
We use the analogy of real estate developers to explain SEO. First you find undervalued property then fix it up and then rent it for more money or sell it. If you don't fix it up then you will never get the benefit of what you bought. The same goes with your website. We like to think of ourselves as "the only solution" for SEO but the truth is that you have to be doing a myriad of things, of course Linkwheels being at the head of the pack for affordable SEO that works.
There are many SEO options that people bombard us with every day so I want to focus on the basics. Google is looking for good quality content. Thus does it make sense to have every page of your site the perfect word count, perfect keyword density, and perfect inbound and outbound links? This is not what makes good quality content. Good quality content should be random. Sometimes it takes 200 words to bring to your readers the information they need and sometimes it takes 1,000. What I am saying is don't stress out. Focus on perfect SEO for the home page and other internal pages that you are focusing on and on the other pages be natural. The main thing is to make sure that you have a proper Meta title.
"Which do you think Google would like better for a Meta title?
Option 1: Blue Widget | Widgets that are Blue| Discount Blue Widgets
Option 2: Blue Widget: HUGE discounts on Widgets"
Well Option 1 shows your 3 key phrases you are going after and Google sees that you are trying too hard.
And Option 2 has your main key phrase but then has a sentence that makes sense to your website visitors. Thus in option 2 Google sees that you have a Meta title that does not get marked as keyword stuffing. In addition, since the Meta title shows on Google, the word HUGE will stand out from the rest of the listings which gives you the better chance of being clicked. I call the above - web psychology. You have to know what your users want and then give it to them. Sometimes that means having the best well designed site and other times it's having an intentionally ugly site.
Back on topic, it is very important to do "Natural SEO". For your main pages of your site do the perfect on and off page SEO but for the rest of your pages make sure that you have Meta titles and great quality content that your users want to read.
As I mentioned earlier, SEO involves a myriad of services. I would like to list a few of them below which I consider the staples. Not everyone needs all of them but this mix is almost guaranteed to get you the desired results.
· Inbound links
· Outbound links to authority sites
· Quality content that is continually added to your site
· Blog for your site
· Forum for your site
· SMO( FaceBook, Twitter, etc)
· Press Releases
· Video Marketing
· Local Search
