Thousands of Facebook users have pledged to send millions of condoms to protest Pope Benedict XVI's stance that condoms do not stop the spread of HIV. The Vatican has long opposed the use of condoms and other forms of birth control and encourages sexual abstinence to fight the spread of the disease.
